『ミシュラン』にて最高峰の三つ星を獲得した、フランスのパリにある一流レストラン「ランブロワジー」で修業を積んだ日本人シェフの尾花夏樹は、同じ店で修業を積んだ京野陸太郎と共に独立し、パリに自分のレストラン「エスコフィユ」をオープン。ミシュランから二つ星を獲得するまでに活躍する。 ところが、2015年の日仏首脳会談の昼食会で提供した料理にアレルギー食材（ナッツ）が混入し、またこれについて追及する仏政府関係者を殴ったために尾花は逮捕。評判を落とした店は倒産し、名声と信用などすべてを失ってしまう。 それから3年後の2018年。パリの片隅で借金取りに追われるまでに落ちぶれていた尾花は、かつて修業を積んでいたランブロワジーの面接に落ちた早見倫子と共に、自分たちの新しいレストラン「グランメゾン東京」を開店させ、三つ星獲得を目指して動き出すのであった。
