岸边满（生田斗真 饰），36 岁，大学毕业后迷上了咖啡，并因此创业，但最终失败，成了一名无业的啃老族。尽管他内心也想有所改变，但一直靠着自己的“强项”——绝不在口角中认输的特殊能力，运用歪理诡辩来掩饰自己的颓废人生。姐姐绫子（小池荣子 饰）认为弟弟的歪理不过是“单纯的逃避现实”，并质问母亲房枝 （原田美枝子 饰），认为弟弟变成这样，母亲也负有责任。母亲被戳中痛处，内心动摇。 五年前，岸边经历了一番波折后，成为了一名县议会议员的秘书，但很快又被解雇。于是，他再次回归寄生于经营咖啡店的母亲之下，继续着啃老族的生活。然而，此时家中传来了关于出售咖啡店和老家的消息。在一家人再度聚首，展开一场唇枪舌剑的诡辩大战之后，满能否摆脱废柴人生，迈向独立之路？
